Zoos and Animal Parks across the Country<\/h2>\n\n

There are around 125 different zoos and animal parks in Switzerland. Measured by visitor numbers, the zoos in Zurich and Basel are the most popular. These two largest zoos in Switzerland currently record around 1.2 million visitors per year. Officially, there are five scientifically recognized zoos in this country: Basel Zoo, Zurich Zoo, D\u00e4hlh\u00f6lzli Animal Park in Bern, Goldau Nature and Animal Park, and Zurich Langenberg Wilderness Park. Zurich Zoo most Expensive for Adults<\/h2>\n\n

The comparison of admission prices in zoos and animal parks on Nexano shows that adults have to dig deepest into their pockets for a visit to Zurich Zoo. Adults pay CHF 31.00 for a day ticket. This price applies to an online ticket. At the ticket office, CHF 32.00 is due. Children (6-12 years) pay CHF 17.00 for Zurich Zoo admission when booking online. When purchased on-site, CHF 18.00 is due.According to our comparison, the most expensive admission prices for children are at Aquatis – Aquarium-Vivarium in Lausanne. At Europe’s largest freshwater Aquarium-Vivarium, children (5-15 years) pay CHF 19.00 for a pre-purchased online ticket. If the ticket is purchased on-site, CHF 22.00 is due for children. Aquatis admission for adults amounts to CHF 29.00 for an online ticket and CHF 32.00 when purchased at the ticket office on-site. <\/p>\n\n

There are also Free Animal Parks<\/h2>\n\n

In Switzerland, there are also various animal parks that can be visited free of charge. For example, the Muzoo<\/a> in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The Muzoo is home to around 50 different animal species on an area of approximately 30,000 m2. Also free for all ages is the Zurich Langenberg Wilderness Park<\/a>. In Switzerland’s oldest zoo, wild animals such as bears, elk, or wolves can be observed. <\/p>\n\n
